    1. partly related system questions; is amazon's version of ecommerce across usa the greenest or least green model since 1995- cf alibaba also born in 2025- today is prime 2021 at amazon its equivalent of alibaba's single day- bloomberg comment clarifies complete map of supply chains needed-Supply chain disruptions around the world are claiming another victim: deals featured on Amazon Prime Day.

The two-day event ending today, alongside Walmart’s “Deals for Days” and Target’s “Deal Days,” is supposed to entice online shoppers with big mid-summer sales. But Amazon merchants will be stingier this year partly because elevated shipping expenses are eating into margins and their logistics for the rest of the year remain a challenge.

“There’s growing deal fatigue on Amazon,” Peter Darch, who manages inventory and supply chain at Perch, told Bloomberg’s Spencer Soper. “We’re being a little more selective.”

Still, online spending in the U.S. will hit an estimated $12.2 billion during the sale, with Amazon capturing 60%, according to EMarketer. Last year spending was $10.4 billion, but the pandemic pushed the sale back to October, making comparisons difficult.
